Make an Easy Gift Card Holder Using More Than Autumn!

Today we’re making one of the easiest gift card holders you’ll ever make! Save this project for Christmas and birthday gifts. You’re loved ones are sure to enjoy them. It’s still hot here in Lynchburg, Va, but I’m hoping that it’s going to cool off soon and we’ll get to break out our sweaters! These cards really put me in the Fall and Winter spirit. Let’s go over the card layout/recipe, and then I’ll show you the details for the colors and elements of each card.

Card Recipe:

All of the gift card holders pictured are the same layout and use the following measurements:

-Cut the card base at 5.5” x 9”

-Score the card base at 1.25” then flip the card base around and score at 5.5”

-Fold card using your bone folder

-Cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock at 4” x 5.25” for your insert

-Cut a piece of DSP at 3.25” x 5.25”

-Cut another piece of DSP at 1” x 5.25”

-Using the 5th largest Textured Notes Dies, cut out a rectangle with cardstock matching your base

-Using the 4th largest Textured Notes Dies, cut a rectangle in Very Vanilla

-Stamp your sentiments using the More than Autumn stamp set or bundle

-Cut your treats out using the More than Autumn dies or bundle

-Adhere all elements of your card, making sure to adhere your insert first, then fold the 1.25” side of your card up and glue just the sides of it up to the inside of the card, creating a pocket for your gift card.

Color and Treat Combinations:

Cajun Craze + Old Olive + Calypso Coral

For the first gift card holder, I used a fall color palette of Cajun Craze cardstock, Old Olive Stampin’ Blends, Calypso Coral ink, and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.

For the Inside:

Each of the gift card holders has the same thing stamped on the inside, except the pumpkin one (I’ll show you!). Stick a gift card of some cash in the card and you’re ready to gift!

Lost Lagoon + Pool Party

For a monochromatic look that’s good to use year-round, I paired Lost Lagoon ink and cardstock with Pool Party and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends!

Cherry Cobbler + Crumb Cake

For this wintery card, I paired Cherry Cobbler ink and cardstock with Crumb Cake ink and Stampin’ Blends.

Pumpkin Pie + Crumb Cake

For our last gift card holder, I paired Pumpkin Pie cardstock, ink and Stampin’ Blends with Crumb Cake ink and Stampin’ Blends.

I also changed the direction of the card to a vertical orientation for something different!

For the Inside:

For the inside sentiment, I used the Happy Birthday! sentiment from the Darling Dinosaurs stamp set, along with the sprinkles from the More than Autumn stamp set.
